ABOUT

Stars Scouts Groups aim to raise Muslim youth in Canada on Islamic ethics and morals as well as building a positive, independent personality with leadership characteristics
Our leadership development follows Scouts Canada’s “The Canadian Path” curriculum developing scouts through “plan – do – review” method to foster critical thinking, personal development, and team participation. This framework is enriched and repurposed through mentoring, discussion, reminders, activities and other theme-based Islamic content to deliver a holistic understanding of Islam and build the scout’s Islamic personality and character.
Our program includes outdoor adventures such as camping, hiking, biking and climbing, and indoor activities such as STEM, leadership activities and other scouting skills.Hands-on orientation provides a practical method of learning and helps youth build confidence. Activities and games provide a fun way to develop skills and provide contact with nature and the environment when pursued in an outdoor setting. Youth learn in small groups to build unity and a family atmosphere.
Developing the characteristics of responsibility, self-reliance, self-confidence, and readiness, the scouts eventually learn collaboration and leadership skills. An attractive program of varying activities expands a scout’s horizons and bonds the scout even more to the group.

Tangible Results - Build Leaders

Opening Ceremony

Our Scouting adventure begins here! In this session, Scouts will meet new friends, learn what Scouting is all about, and discover how its values connect to good Islamic manners. Through games and creative activities like designing a flag, they’ll build teamwork, confidence, and a sense of belonging all while learning the Scout Promise, motto, and salute in a fun and welcoming way!

Navigation & Finding our way

Scouts will explore how to find their way using maps, compasses, and nature! They’ll discover how direction connects to faith like finding the Qibla and guidance from the Qur’an while building teamwork, patience, and confidence through fun navigation games.

Outdoor cooking & food safety

Scouts will learn how to cook simple snacks outdoors while keeping things clean, safe, and halal! Working together in teams, they’ll practice responsibility, cooperation, and gratitude — remembering that food is a blessing from Allah to be shared with love.

Shelter building & survival skills

Scouts will work together to build mini-shelters using sticks and tarps while learning about teamwork, patience, and resourcefulness. They’ll discover how building shelter reminds us to rely on Allah — the One who provides true safety and protection.

Water Conservation

Scouts will discover the importance of clean water and how to care for it wisely. Through simple hands-on activities and reflections on wudu, they’ll learn that water is a gift from Allah one we must use with care and never waste.

Campfire Night

Under the glow of the campfire, Scouts will celebrate their journey, share stories, and strengthen bonds of friendship and faith. Together, they’ll reflect on the Scout Promise and Islamic values, leaving inspired to live by them every day.

Community Day

Scouts will put their values into action by helping others and giving back to the community. Through a fun service project, they’ll learn that being a good Scout — and a good Muslim — means caring for people, showing gratitude, and working together to make a difference.

First Aid for Scouts

Scouts will learn how to care for others in times of need through simple first aid skills like treating small cuts and burns. They’ll practice teamwork, learn how to call for help, and understand that helping others is both a Scout’s duty and a way to please Allah.

Islam & the Environment

Scouts will explore how caring for nature is part of our faith. Through a nature walk and cleanup activity, they’ll learn to leave every place better than they found it and reflect on the Qur’anic teaching that the Earth is an amanah — a trust from Allah to protect and care for.

Knot Basics

Scouts will have fun learning useful knots like the square knot, clove hitch, and bowline! Through paired challenges, they’ll practice patience, teamwork, and leadership — discovering how precision and helping others reflect good Islamic manners.
